Top Wedding Flower Trends for 2020
Happy new year! We are so excited to be working with our 2020 couples! Every wedding is unique in its own way with added touches of personalization. Trends come and go but this year we are seeing a number of fun designs that we hope stick around for years to follow.
Here are our Top 5 Wedding Flower Trends For 2020:
Dog Collars
Sure you have your best girls and guys by your side at the altar, but have you thought about your precious fur-baby? Lots of couples this year are arranging having their four legged friends be a part of their wedding whether it be for a few quick photos or brazenly walking down the aisle. Of course your pup can’t carry a bouquet, but they can wear a fun flower collar! We’re customizing lots of dog collars this year to coordinate with personal flowers. Simple greenery or with pops of colorful dainty blooms, we can custom create a fun and size appropriate flower collar for your dog!
Blue Hues
The neutral pallets of ivories and greenery are still a popular look but more and more couples are adding touches of blue for a subtle accent. Whether your heart is set on soft blues or a rich navy color, either shade coordinates perfectly with a range of different colors (think silvery accents, blush ties, charcoal grey suits or jewel toned maids dresses).
Statement Seating Charts
Gone are the days with rows of flimsy tented place cards… and nothing else. Our couples are opting for more customized seating charts and interactive ‘place cards’. Think outside of the box! Are you more of a DIY bride? Repurpose window panes and have a professional calligrapher (Haley Tyson is our favorite) scribe all of your guests names on the glass. Or what’s better than a toast to the newlyweds?! Wow your guests with a rental champagne wall that can double as a seating chart. Our favorite look is a wall of bud vases, personalized with each guests name and table number that doubles as a favor!
Natural Accents
Lots of lush greenery is still a trendy aesthetic but more and more brides are opting for bleached greenery and dried flowers. These antiqued looking accents can elevate a design to look more ethereal and neutral. Make sure to ask us if you want to incorporate any preserved accents to your wedding look. We love the airy look of pampas grass and delicate bleached ruscus. #Swoon.
Petite Bouquets
We’re always practical with our design: low centerpieces that allow your guests to see your first dance, wrist corsages that resemble stylish floral jewelry and making bouquets that are comfortable to have and to hold all day. We’re seeing more and more requests for smaller bouquets. Just because they’re more petite doesn’t mean they lack in gorgeous blooms! We’re happy to design the bouquet of your dreams, whether it be sweet and petite or a grand cascade, we love bouquets of all sizes!
Are you a 2020 bride or groom to be? I would love to know if you’re incorporating any of these looks into your wedding design! We still have a few dates available so don’t wait to reach out and book with everyones’ favorite wedding florist!
Cheers!
