The Commons 1854 Photo Shoot

As I start to type, the feelings of happiness and excitement of writing a blog post are consuming. Last year was our first FULL year in business. My husband and I welcomed our little guy into the world in June and only three weeks after he was born it was full speed ahead with 30+ weddings and events straight through December. Whew!

I say it all the time, but I really am so lucky to have the best clients. Ever. To play a small part in your special day makes my heart explode. The best part? Seeing your reaction when I present your bouquet. Your bridal bouquet that completes your wedding look, complements your dress and in photos that will be around for generations to come. I’m humbled by all of the text messages and emails the day after your wedding, the handwritten thank you cards and taking a moment to leave Russo Fabulous a review. Thank you all so so much!

After recently polling our fab Insta followers, the majority vote was to see more real weddings here on the blog. I appreciate our past couples and photographers who graciously share their wedding photos- thank you! I look forward to sharing some really special weddings- all unique with their own love story. Your wedding, whether it be the flowers, your dress or other design elements, inspire future brides and grooms to be; that is the best part! So often when I am speaking with a potential client they have their heart set on an inspiration photo and want to make it their own. Geometric centerpieces, anyone?!

While I draft some blog posts from ‘18 weddings, I’m going to start off with sharing photos from a creative photo shoot we participated in last summer. It was a spur of the moment decision and came out better than I could have imagined. The Commons 1854 is STUN-NING! Can somebody please hire us to do your wedding flowers here?! Outside features a pristine courtyard with gorgeous manicured grounds. Inside a classic, modern all white look with an exquisite ballroom with tall ceilings.

The ‘theme’ was mixed metals. We got funky with gold, silver and copper sprayed foliages mixed with bold greenery with dusty grey and ivory blooms. Huge shout out to Natalya DeSena Photography for capturing the images I was envisioning with this project!
