2018 Trends

I am so looking forward to 2018 weddings! Trends come and go so fast in the world of fashion as in flowers. We've booked up a few weddings already, all very unique in their own special way. But we are seeing a few similarities in their wedding plans.
Here are our top 5 fabulous wedding trends we're seeing for 2018:

1. Blinged Out Dresses

I am noticing lots of brides and their maids planning to sparkle as they walk down the aisle! No matter your wedding theme, a sequined dress can take your wedding up another notch! Sequined dressed look great in every color, whether the girls are in jewel tones or pastel hues. Bling is king in 2018. Trend it up a notch: mismatched sequined dresses. Done.

2. YAAAS Greens

The color of the year is still going strong! Lots of my brides are incorporating garlands and want more textured greenery in their bouquets and arrangements. Massive monstera leaves and palms are great for high end tropical elegance. Muted greens like baby blue eucalyptus and olive are perfect for a wild, bohemian styled wedding. And my personal favorite combo of seeded eucalyptus and Italian ruscus are perfect for a natural, romantic look! Cute to boot AND cost effective. Win!

3. Donuts

Ditch the wedding cake for something that will satisfy everybody's sweet tooth! Donuts are the new go to dessert. Make it personal offering guests you and your honey's favorite flavors to ensure every guest will be happy. Get creative and do a donut tower or display them on a peg board (shown in photo on the right). Check out Kane's Donuts - their award winning donuts are baked using the highest quality ingredients and made fresh every day! They have two locations in Saugus and Boston AND provide delivery for your special order. Their motto: Donuts are love. Need I say more?

4. Marble & Metallics

These industrial elements create a soft and romantic feel when used together. I'm seeing lots of funky uses with marble- vases with a marble print, customized marble place cards and marble on invitation suites. Rose gold, silver and copper are being incorporated into florals now more than ever. Metallic accents on desserts, place settings and candle holders are a chic touch.

5. Cascades That Slay

Its funny to think that I have been in this industry long enough to see a trend come and go only to make a comeback years later. Brides are opting for cascading bouquets as a nod to their mother or grandmothers wedding flowers. I am LOVING this! It doesn't get more traditional than that! My favorite is the look on their face when they ask me "Can you do this? Do people still do this?". Yes and YES! A tight teardrop or loose wild cascading bouquet is the top floral trend I have seen for this year and continuing in 2018.

Nothing like a good ol' mirror selfie! I loved that cascading bridal bouquet.

Let me know what your favorite trend on the list is! Are you a bride-to-be adding one or more of these trendy elements into your #BestDayEver? I would love to hear about it!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Live your best October (but still feels like summer) life.
